ANGIE REED
INTERIOR DESIGNER
about
My name is Angie Reed and I am an Interior Design student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. I am currently in my third year of studies and I am also a double minor in Architectural History and Photography. I am expected to graduate with a B.F.A. in Interior Design in June, 2020.
I am fascinated by the design process that goes into the creation of spaces. From the first initial meeting with the client, to the brainstorming of the concept, to the formulation of spatial layouts, the stages of design development allow me to use my creativity to its fullest extent. Two of my strongest assets as a designer are dedication and challenging myself to come up with innovative design solutions.
I am currently seeking internships with firms based in retail, hospitality, and commercial office spaces. I believe I do my best work in situations which challenge me to create a new normal for these types of spaces. For inquiries, I can be contacted at angiereed1998@gmail.com.

Kristen Baird Jewelry
Retail Design
I created a hypothetical retail store for Kristen Baird, located in downtown Savannah, GA. Kristen is a luxury jewelry designer who challenges the jewelry community by creating pieces that are beautifully unique. I based my concept on the zodiac signs because each piece in her collection is unique and handmade, just like stars in a constellation. While creating this space, I drew inspiration from her love of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Marc Scibilia
Residential Design
Downtown Nashville, TN, was the site chosen for the creation of a hypothetical home that could also be used as a functional work setting for singer/songwriter Marc Scibilia. I redesigned an existing loft above Blue Coyote Bar that represented a modern industrial style. Inspired by his New York roots and busy lifestyle, it featured both an in-house recording studio and plenty of space for him to unwind after a long day of work.
